What you may not have realized yet...

Life is good. Some people think you gotta have it all, live the most adventurous and exciting things in order to have a good life, but that's not true... not for me at least. Sometimes all it takes is a good cup of coffee with some nice music and environment and there you go, you realize that despite some rocks on the road, life is good and if you step aside and look at the picture as a whole, you will see life may be better than you think... and it actually is.

Seating at a table at Starbucks - a really good one by the way -, I start to think what life has been to me so far and it has given me so much. It has taken things and people away and it has made me taste pain, but it has also given me so many wonderful moments and people. It has given me so much to wish and hope for. I'm not happy for the bad things that have happened so far, but they have also made me who I am and I'm a good person, and I'm strong; and I'm strong because of everything I went through so I can't just hide them and pretend they never existed; but I can learn from and live with them and believe I am a whole person and I can help someone with my experience. And I thank life for that. I thank life for the opportunity to be a whole someone and for giving me the rainbow after the rain.

It's about having the courage to become who you dream of and actually going for it. And funny as it is, my mom wanted to be a journalist. But she was too proud. Maybe it was not meant to be. But here I am. Pursuing the same dream. Going for the same thing. But it's also about knowing where you wanna get, how successful you want to become or how higher you want to go. And setting the steps after finding them out. And it's also about making mistakes and learning from them.
But most important, appreciating what you have today and WHO you have today. If you don't do that, you won't see the big picture and you won't live. You won't be allowing your life to be everything it can be, with all the joy and all the drama. You gotta live, you gotta be willing to lose everything and getting it all back again. You gotta let people in, soak up the sun and kiss under the rain. Life is here, life is what happens now, in the split of a second or blink of an eye. You can't find whatever it is you are looking for inside the box, neither waiting for it to happen one day or the other. You have to work, work hard, work harder some days, maybe every day, actually every day, but you can't let it go. And you have to promise... not to others, but to yourself. You gotta commit to yourself and make yourself the promise that you will try everything and you will work hard and you will fight and love, but above all you gotta promise yourself you will LIVE. Please, live...

Life is so short. You see a child running, playing happily and with a blink of an eye this same child turned into a man or a woman and they are working and having their own child. That's the way it happens, that's how it is supposed to happen. They are born, they learn, they grow up and they create their own future. There's no magic, there's no formula, there's life, life in its raw, pure meaning. It's simple and it's beautiful.
It doesn't matter how many times you close your eyes to sleep nor open them to wake up. It won't matter if in between the main opening and final closing, you live and you love. And you love with all your heart and all your strength and everything inside you. And you love with all the risks and possible pain and certain joy it comes from loving. Love your friends, your family, your significant one, your pet... just love. Love the person who makes your coffee at Starbucks every day, love your neighbor, love the ones you care about the most... Love! No matter who, no matter what and no matter how, but, please, love...

Futuro...

Tá aí, nasce o próximo empregado do mês!
